June 15, 2009: I read the whole book, finished all the review questions and passed my PMP exam on my first try. The book is a perfect compliment and guide for the PMBOK, and the materials provide summary for PM processes, as well as the supplementary information to various topics, equipped you with adequate knowledge and skills to tackle the PMP examination.
The chapters on time and cost management is a must for candidates, as the special sections on formulas clarify the concept as stipulated in the PMBOK. The tables on different processes, with key outputs, are very helpful in enhancing understanding to the project management processes, and well organized to aid memorizing.All in all, a highly recommended exam book. February 14, 2008: I used this book and a 3 session review course that also referenced the book and passed the exam on my 1st try. The exam questions are very good and if you follow the additional online tests, you'll have a better feel for the exam as well. This book emphasized learning not memorization so you could really understand the practices.
