    Synopsis

To save the lives of her friends, Rachel did the unthinkable: she willingly trafficked in forbidden demon magic. And now her sins are coming home to haunt her.

As Rachel searches for the truth behind a terrifying murder, an even greater menace threatens, for the demon Algaliarept will stop at nothing to claim her, and the discovery of a shocking family secret throws Rachel's entire life into question. If she is ever to live free, Rachel must first walk willingly into the demonic ever-after in search of long-lost ancient knowledge.

But when you dance with demons, you lay your soul on the line . . . and there are some lines that should never be crossed.

    Publishers Weekly

This sixth offering of outlaw witch turned bounty hunter, Rachel Morgan, offers the typical Harrison yarn filled with some good laughs and the odd thrill to boot. Gigi Birmingham taps into the comedic undertones, be it the sarcasm so common to Morgan's twisted personality or simply the everyday woman aspect of the tale, thereby capturing the character's essence perfectly. As believable as she is as this generally unbelievable character, Birmingham knows exactly when to amp up the tension and captivate the listener. Always entertaining and quite likable in the title role, Birmingham offers a splendid reading of Harrison's eccentric protagonist. Simultaneous release with the Eos hardcover (Reviews, Dec. 3). November 12, 2009: Okay I admit I am a bit of a book snob. If the book does not catch me within the first few pages I am hard pressed to finish it.

This series hooked me with the first cover. Talk about fun. Makes you think maybe there could be "others" out there and it would not be such a bad thing.

I have passed the books on to my office mates with the strict instructions that they come back to me. I just got the first one back last month after going around the office for three months. Yeah its the same with all of the others as well.

You want a kick ass good read then I seriously suggest this entire series.

I Also Recommend: The Good, the Bad, and the Undead (Rachel Morgan Series #2), Every Which Way But Dead (Rachel Morgan Series #3), Another One Bites the Dust (Jaz Parks Series), The Harlequin (Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series #15).

October 27, 2009: The Outlaw Demon Wails is very much in the same style as the previous Rachel Morgan books. I enjoyed this one much better than the last and can't wait to start on the next one.
