A boy contemplates all the horrible stories he has heard about the music teacher, Miss LaNote, and the ordeals she forces her students to endure.
Starting school and hearing rumors about your new teachers can be a pretty scary ordeal. Especially if you have never had music before and you have heard some very unusual things about that teacher. Does she really wear a hat with horns and will she make you sing in front of the whole class? Is it possible she even carries a laser baton and will zap you if you sing one wrong note? March 30, 2003: The book was a totaly great book. I could have related it to what I thought might have been my music teacher. Once you have read one of the bokks from 'The Black Lagoon' series, it shows you that you can interprete people in different ways than they really are. I loved the book!
