June 29, 2009: This book is an easy to read, practical guide for all athletes who want to improve their performance through all stages of their athletic development. It focuses on helping to identify mental and emotional strengths and capitalize on these. It also helps the athlete to identify weaknesses and improve these through targeted exercises. It also touches on social issues the athlete may encounter and tells how to effectively cope with these.

In fact, many of the exercises in this book are useful for any person who has to perform under pressure as a matter of their job, i.e. nurse, firefighter.
