July 14, 2006: Bought this book instead of taking a crash course in Homeland Security and have been very pleased with it. Easy to read chapter by chapter when you need a reference for a certain topic in HS. Did not like the lack of pictures and graphics in the book making it less interesting and more parochial. The authors are actual instructors at local DOD war colleges. The book has paid for itself in that i can read more anytime i like and i could not have done this with a course only. The writing is governmentese so it is best recommended for current government workers.
