December 14, 2006: This is a story that was read to me as a child and I now read it to my own children. Beyond the positive moral of the story, it's one that children truly get captivated by. In fact, the writing style and repetition encourages children to 'read along' with their parent, making this truly a shared experience. I'm buying another copy because mine has essentially worn through. I'm hoping to get another 30 years' worth of enjoyment out of it -- and I know that I and my children will be sharing this wonderful story with their children.
