    Synopsis

For thousands of years, tales of the fabled Dark Pearl were told and retold. Then the stories faded with the passage of time, leaving behind the stuff of myths and magic--until fate brought together the only two people in the world who can breathe life back into the...Legend of the Sorcerer.

Sculptor Jordy Decker came to the Florida Keys seeking inspiration for her art--but instead becomes enmeshed in a mystery that turns her world upside down...and leads her directly to Malacai L'Baan, the intense, enigmatic author of the bestselling Dark Pearl fantasy series. The mystery seems connected to alarming letters from an obsessive fan who is certain the Dark Pearl is real--and will do anything to possess it.

Jordy is drawn to Cai in a way she cannot understand...and cannot seem to resist. And as the danger grows stronger, Jordy finds magic in Cai's embrace--and   a special passion that may just destroy them both....

    Biography

Once upon a time, Donna Kauffman was born in Washington D.C. Alas, there were no glass slippers in her closet, but fate was kind, and a trustworthy (and totally hot) knight did cross her path. No fool she, Donna didn't need a fairy godmother to point out a good thing when she saw it. Their happily ever after is currently taking place in Virginia.

June 10, 2009: Legend of the Sorcerer by Donna Kauffman is a spell binding book. Compared to other books that I have read by her it doesn't match the other romance that she has written. This book seems to take a more magical fairy tale shape which would seem unapeasing, yet for this book it worked to make it amazing and reel the reader in. The story is of two people who meet by chance over photographs and they have a connection that no one can break. This connection is what helps the overcome the challenges and mysteries that await them.

I Also Recommend: Sleeping with Beauty, The Legend MacKinnon, Dear Prince Charming, The Black Sheep and the Hidden Beauty, The Black Sheep and the English Rose.

December 28, 2000: This was a great book to read. I read the whole book in one day on an airplane flying to England. I couldn't put it down, the characters pulled me into the story right from the beginning. The undeniable attraction between Jordy and Malacai is absolutely magical. I would recommend this book for any hopeless romantic who loves a touch of fantasy in a book.
