September 14, 2009: Judith Sherven and Jim Sniechowski understand people. Through decades of working as professional psychotherapists with an emphasis on relationships, they developed a deep appreciation for what motivates human beings to choose to learn and grow and what connects then to each other.

As fate and good fortune (for us) would have it, in the process of writing and publishing books and producing workshops on their work, they began to apply their insights to the process of marketing - applying the respect, sensitivity, and interest in serving their "customers" in the same way they would serve their psychotherapy clients to learn, grow, and move out of suffering and into flourishing. The result is a growing community and emerging movement aligned with their concept of Soft Sell Marketing - a heart-based, service-oriented approach to marketing and sales.

In the subtitle of The Heart of Marketing Jim and Judith proclaim: Love Your Customers and They Will Love You Back, and the book guides readers in the process of loving their customers and making marketing a mindful, respectful, and healing process. By addressing 45 essential questions with principles, practices, and exemplary stories, Jim and Judith the inspiring idea of heart-based marketing into a practical process which makes good sense and builds good business.

In this age of increasing calls for transparency, authenticity, and purpose in business, The Heart of Marketing is a beacon of light and an essential guide.

August 19, 2009: Are you disassociated with the din of countless marketing gurus who advocate plucking funds from customers with clever gambits?

Do you find scant advice in the marketplace for those of us who wish to serve clients & customers with valuable solutions and authenticity?

Do you and I agree...some of us wish to conduct our business in a "hype-free" fashion? Do you also find the common advice & practices such as "bulking up packages," "creating bundles which confuse & confound attempts to discern true value," "don't waste time on editing, polish or even research...just get it out there," and the like...to be--not just against our nature--but outright loathsome?

Does it seem to you like we are in the minority...and at a disadvantage?

Thankfully, Judith & Jim have chosen a different tact. They are developing a useful body-of-knowledge which sources and serves those who wish to serve and source. "The Heart of Marketing" is at once inspiring & encouraging as well as practical & explanatory.

If you too have any conflict about commercializing your purpose, be sure to read page 83.

Bursting with insights which resonate, and advice which is actionable, "The Heart of Marketing" will be a boon for all who seek to source and serve with authenticity.
