      Synopsis

Not believing, but only experiencing, says Osho in this inspiring book, is a way of finding truth and meaning. While Nietzsche's declaration that "God is dead, therefore man is free" was an incredible step in understanding, he argues, it is in itself a negative solution and does not bring freedom. Simply removing God is not enough. In The God Conspiracy, Osho offers a solution beyond Nietzsche — meditation, a direct connection with existence itself. Here he shows how Zen and meditation allow us to find meaning and significance, creativity, receptivity, and a path to freedom. Zen has no God, but it has a tremendous power to transform our consciousness, to bring so much awareness that committing evil becomes inconceivable. This book argues persuasively that transformation cannot be imposed, but must come from one’s innermost being and understanding.

      A MUST-READ!by Sceptical

August 19, 2009: I've been waiting to read a book like this for quite a long time!!

I think nobody has questioned the role of religious and political institutions as gracefully and wisely as Osho does in this book.

'Do not believe anything unless you have experienced it. Go on questioning, however long it takes. Religions are not capable of answering sceptical questions, they want only believers.'

When I read these lines from the preface for the first time, I said to myself: 'I have to buy this book!'

Religious institutions as well as politicians need believers. They create the picture of salvation and protection if you are loyal to unrealistic dogmas. The believers (actually the whole Humanity) that Osho mentions only find frustration because the real Truth is far away from those beliefs-concepts that the mind (Ego) recreates.

The only Truth that any human being recognises is the one that it is connected to your soul, your pure essence that in fact it is part of the Unique Essence of the Universe. And I completely agree with Osho when he says that meditation, silence, no-mind (no beliefs but only experience) opens the door to the real dance with the Existence- it is when you really experience life to the fullest!

I decided to write this review because this is one of the rare books that have the power to transform your life for good. Definitely A MUST-READ!

Thanks Osho for your inspirational words!
