    Synopsis

Headbangers rejoice, because this fantastically illustrated encyclopedia includes all things Metal, from influential bands such as Blue Cheer and Iron Butterfly to Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, to today's extreme death metal bands. The well-researched witty text befits the raucous, boundary-pushing musicians. From obscure bands such as Armored Saint to megastars as Van Halen and Metallica, each entry contains vital statistics on the band members, a description of the band's history and sound, an essential discography, and more.

July 31, 2008: It is an ok book, it helped with a lot of my metal knowlege but it had bands in it that were not metal at all like cheap trick, zebra, and others. It also didnt cover other types of metal such as black metal, death metal, and others. So it was ok but if i had to do it over I would get a diffrent metal book.

May 24, 2006: Dont have much to say, the book is great exept one ting. I know that is hard to cover all the great bands but some thing reali couth my eye. How com that in this realy great book does't have some of greatest bands in the World like Dream Theater, Hightwish, Sonata Arctica, Axel Rudi Pell,Europe, Racer X and many more. The boock hase so much, leas important bands then ones I yust whroat. But I know nothing is perfect in this painful whorld so is not this boock.
