To be honest, I'm not even a right wing conservative and I agree with Pat Buchanan on this matter. America is divided into too many subcultures that seperate the people. American culture is dying because liberals point out mistakes that have been made in our history therefore, these flaws have been used against this great country in a destructive way.

Buchanan seems to have a lot of good things to say, but i think he is slightly less objective than he should be in this situation.

'The Death of the West' by Patrick Buchanan is a courageous look at society in contemporary America. Buchanan does a great job of arguing his case against faithless morals and unquestioned immigration. The constant use of quotes was a bit repetitive but overall 'Death of the West' is a superb read. I definitely recommend it. Of course, one should not swallow everything they read whole, but Buchanan's work is without doubt THOUGHT PROVOKING. I think many would agree that a 'family wage' should be explored again. Thanks Pat!!!

Anyone who shops at the local grocery store in the 'ghetto' knows this book speaks facts. Mr. Buchanan is totally accurate when he says the West is dying. Savages will inherit the Earth if decent people don't wake up soon. America will fall and the world will enter into a new dark age. Those who breed will have the planet for themselves. This is a shocking call to christian women to have more children now or the children you do have will grow up in a Muslim world.

reeks of self-righteous racism

Buchanan writes of an America in moral and physical decay. He thinly veils racist attitudes towards minorities in America as a righteous reclaiming of the land that belongs to Europeans. He forgets to examine that Europeans swiped the land from the natives in the first place, then wants to deny 'immigrant invasions' from taking the land from his white forefathers? He seems to forget that European Puritans fled to America to escape persecution and dubbed America the 'New World.' Now he wishes to protect the 'vanishing breed' of Europeans, by denying entrance to others who are seeking a better life, just as Buchanan's forefathers had. Has he forgotten the mantra for which our statue of liberty stands?
