October 16, 2000: I found this book to be the most complete collection of resources that I seen about one subject. In addition to the 32 chapter of the book there are 45 chapter in one of the CD-ROMs, plus many other tutorials, musical examples, instruments, applications (including Csound), interfaces-A LOT OF INFORMATION. You won?t need to browse the Internet to find more information. If you never programmed on Csound-or any other computer language- the first chapter gives you all you need to get started. In fact, the Csound course at Berklee College is based on this chapter. Then, you choose what areas interest you most (analog synths, Reverb design, FOF, composition, programming, etc, etc.) Definitely is worth buying it if you are interested in computer music and essential for anyone serious about it.
