September 23, 2009: I am looking forward to using this book I am hoping it is as good as the other books in this series. Quilting is a big hobby in our area but most people have been doingit for a long time and are involved in complex projects I am hoping this will give me the kick start I need to understand the craft and enjoy it to its fullest

August 04, 2009: I have long been jealous of those the folks who can whip out quilts like they grow them in their garden. However, jealousy did not provide knowledge so I picked up this book. It is written simply and doesn't inundate novices with techinical terms that can be confusing. It walks you through quilt making from start to finish; explaining terms, types of material, different quilt types, and how to select your fabrics or patterns. Finally how to put the quilt together. I really enjoyed reading this book and cannot wait to finish my first quilt.
