It's tough for love-struck Raven to imagine what's keeping her nocturnal boyfriend from returning to Dullsville. So there's only one thing to do-find Alexander. Along the way, Raven can't resist the spot where she feels most at home, the Coffin Club. But when she stumbles upon a secret door in the club, she descends into a dim catacomb-to a hidden hangout where the house drink happens to be type A or B. Drawn to one of its shadowy members, Raven suspects she's in over her head. But exploring the covert club is too tempting, even after coming face-to-face with Alexander's trouble-stirring enemy.
Can Raven delve further into the Underworld unbeknownst to Alexander-and also solve the mystery of her true love's own secrecy? Ellen Schreiber's sizzling Vampire Kisses series continues with its darkest installment yet.
AGERANGE: Ages 12 up.
In the fifth book of the "Vampire Kisses" series, Raven is not as thrilled as she should be that summer vacation has finally arrived. Her vampire boyfriend, Alexander, has gone to the nearby town of Hipsterville, and she has not heard from him in days. As soon as the final bell rings announcing the end of school, Raven decides that there is no way she is spending the summer sans boyfriend. Under the pretense of visiting her aunt, Raven sets off to find him. After a romantic reunion with Alexander, Raven blatantly ignores his warnings to stay away from her favorite Goth club, the Coffin Club. Hidden in the back of the club, she discovers not only a secret vampire society, but also a dangerous dispute brewing between two vampire factions that threatens to pull her so far into the vampire world that she might not be able to get out. Even with a predictable plot, Schreiber's writing draws in the reader. Raven's unique and believable voice, the quick pacing, and the fresh descriptions all enable the reader to relish each part of this story down to the very last vampire kiss. Okay here it is. I read the book in one night. this book gives u something really exciting then goes to somewhere else so u cannot stop reading because u have so many questions in ur mind! personally i thought it made raven seem like a really mean person. i didnt like that she went to look for alexander but ended up being alone throughtout half of the book. wen i was on the last chapter i was thinking that this book was ok but it was missing alexander way more. so i read the last chapter and i LOOOOVED it! it totally made sense! but wat stinks is that it doesnt really give u a look into wats gonna happen in the next book like all the previous books have. still amazing. HIS last words 'for eternity' loved it!
