      February 02, 2007: I received two wedding planners as engagement gifts. One book I had found to be extremely overwhelming. There were pages and pages of text. However, 'The Bride's Year Ahead' made planning my wedding very easy. It offered a good outline without too much fluff. It let me know what I needed to do and when it needed to be done. In addition, the folders and calendars for each chapter made organizing all my paper work simple. It was never difficult to locate a specific receipt or agreement. I most definitely recommend this book.

      May 16, 2005: This book was pretty but I didn't find it entirely useful. A lot of the things in the book were a bit too sentimental and not enough practical advice. There were a few things I found that seemed out of order to me. One of them was about six months before the wedding the book suggested that you compile a guest list. They suggested this AFTER you book a reception venue. When planning a wedding of any size you need to know how many people plan on attending before you start booking things.
