About the book:
If you're trying to get over your ex, but don't know how, this book is for you. Instead of giving crazy advice that you'll never use, The Breakup Workbook offers 33 easy-to-implement exercises that are tailored to your breakup situation. The book is built on the premise that only time can heal your heart - and it's what you do in that time that makes you a BITTER person or a BETTER person. The Breakup Workbook will help you put all that new alone-time you're stuck with to good use. You'll complete exercises that'll show you why your ex wasn't as great as you thought he was, you'll learn how to confront him in a constructive manner (if you still have questions about the breakup), you'll learn how to increase your self-esteem and how to choose a better mate in the future. In short, if you're willing to do the work, The Breakup Workbook will put you on the road to a happier, healthier you. And with an interactive forum at BrokenHeartedGirl.com, a regularly updated advice blog and a live chat room, you'll have all the support you need to get through this trying time in your life.
Editorial Reviews:"Breaking up is rarely easy and this is something author, Melysha Acharya, knows first-hand. The Breakup Workbook is not a book full of cliche's and promises that you'll find a better man in 30 days. It's a fun, non-judgemental-and effective-real-world approach to working through one of the hardest times of your life- and if you want to do so while playing love songs and drinking a double dirty martini, that's OK too!" -Brenda Della Casa, Author of Cinderella Was a Liar and Walking Barefoot.

October 14, 2009: I didn't think this book was going to help me at first. I was skeptical to say the least. At first, it just sat on my nightstand and I browsed it a bit, but didn't do anything. Then one day, when things finally started to get so bad with me emotionally, I decided to try one of the exercises. And I have to say that once I started writing, I couldn't stop. I started really doing the exercises instead of just intending to do them and then things started to click. It was a slow process, but once I implemented the steps the book asks you to do, a lightbulb went on. I started to get over him. I started to get hopeful. And now I'm still single, but pretty happy a month since I began really using the book.
I definitely recommend this book to someone that is heartbroken. Or as a gift to a good friend.Reader Rating:

June 27, 2009: I got this book after visiting the website - BrokenHeartedGirl.com. This great book the website the blog the forum where you speak with the most wonderfully supportive women = getting over your ex.
The book doesn't put a timeline on getting over him, cuz it takes people different amounts of time to get over someone. Plus, my ex let me down gently and I felt like this book didn't make me think my ex was a jerk. Instead it let me know that there really were things missing in my relationship - things that I will look for next time.Overall, this book was part of a great SYSTEM to help you get over your ex. The author really cares and she will actually talk to you and give you advice which is also really great.
