From legal writing's Golden Era, a contemptible classic. Defying description and impeding the imagination, The Bluebook compels even the illiterate liar (sorry--typo) lawyer into syncophantic submission. On par with Great Expectations, mere words cannot describe its insightful witticisms ("go forth and construe") ("to interplead is human, to demur...devine"), its quaint conundrums...

The Bluebook is the only legal citation guide you'll ever need. It's the one that all lawyers use, and it's the one that law students will be expected to use. As a law student, I have found it an indispensable tool in my legal education. The new edition has some good features as well -- for example, new citation forms for Internet sources.
