    Misleading and expensive Card Packsby harpooner

    September 19, 2009: Card pack is misleading. It says "No Two Packs Alike" but you actually get about half new cards and a lot of duplicates. I had to buy four packs, and I'm still missing some critical cards. I have solved 19 out of the 20 clues available and need one more card, but I'm not sure paying another $8.00 on top of the $32 I've already spent will give me the card I need. I like the whole 39 Clues concept but this is a bit of a rip off. So far I have:

    Five Books at $13.00 = $ 65.00

    Three Card Pack # 1 At $8.00 = $ 24.00

    Four Card Pack # 2 At $8.00 = $ 32.00

    Total = $ 121.00

    Since we're only half way through the ten books it looks like this is going to get expensive, especially since I'm also playing with my Grandaughter in another city.
