Why do you want this job? Why should I hire you? Why do you want to leave your current job?
Do you have convincing answers ready for these important questions? Landing a good job is a competitive process and often the final decision is based on your performance at the interview. By following the advice of prominent career and human resources expert Peter Veruki, Director of Career Planning and Placement at the Owen Graduate school of Management at Vanderbilt University, you'll know you have the right answers at your job interview.
This useful program advises job hunters to think long and hard about how they present themselves inteviews. Veruki breaks down the interview into 12 major parts and tell interviewees what points they should get across with each question. Some sample questions focus on why you enjoy working in the industry you're trying to get a job in, why you want to work for the company you're interviewing with, your strengths and talents, and what you want out of the job. Most importantly, interviewees should be specific, giving concrete examples of their accomplishments whenever possible. Veruki's narration is clear and straightforward and fits the tape's informative tone. Although most people listen to audiobooks in the car, this program might best be listened to at home so that listeners can take notes and pause the tape repeatedly to jot down their own answers to Veruki's questions.

August 01, 2006: This book is excellent. I read this book twice before my job interview. The answers that the author provided were a great help. i landed the job partially because i did well on my interview. i highly recommend this book, especially to recent grads (like myself) who lack significant interview/job experience.
