The editors and contributors are among the most knowledgeable people in the field and are, therefore, very credible. The book contains high quality and extremely pertinent illustrations and numerous tables, diagnostic algorithms, and photographs. The book is organized into sections according to clinical sign or organ system, making it easy to find information. The table of contents and index are excellent and the book contains numerous, recent references. This is a high quality book that is very useful for veterinary students and small animal practitioners. The book provides probably the single best resource available concerning small animal veterinary internal medicine. All veterinary medical libraries and individuals who practice small animal medicine should own this book. This new edition certainly offers enough new information to warrant replacing the previous edition.
