October 09, 2009: An earlier "reviewer" mentioned that this book originally came out in 2001 when Linda Howard "was first coming out". At least know what you are talking about when you write a review. I have been reading Ms. Howard's books since the mid '80's!, and, unfortunately, I am not a big fan of her writing anymore. If you really want a good read and classic Linda Howard, look for anything she wrote in the 90's (i.e. Dream Man). That was when Ms. Howard (in my opinion) hit her peak. If you really want to read a classic then Ms. Howard's Sarah's Child, which was published first in 1985, is one of the best series romances I have ever read. I just hope that Ms. Howard gets back to how she used to write before.

August 28, 2009: You have to remember that this book is one of Linda Howards earlier works from 2001 and she was just staring out. The story does lack drama. But the main characters hold your attention. The plot is predictable. It's a good book to read on lazy afternoon. I think you will like it. P.S. Linda Howard other books are fantastic, she really grew into her work. Read all her books old and new ones if you want really great books.

I Also Recommend: Son of the Morning, Malice, Love's Eclipse Of The Heart.
