If it hadn't been for this book I think I would've just given up on learning how to knit. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. The pictures show each step instead of one picture here and there. Thanks to this book all the other books I purchased before it finally make sense.

I HIGHLY recommend this book to ANYONE who wants to learn to knit!! Being that I'm just learning how to knit myself, and have searched the web, and other books, this book has to be the BEST!! I have found myself actually learning how to knit with ease, and for anyone who wants to learn to knit this is a book that you should really check out, it's not only great for adults but for kids as well!

I needed a book to help review all the 'how-to's' once a friend taught me to knit. This book has great color photos which are very easy to follow as well as some great extra's--various stitch patterns, fixes, great basic patterns and a breakdown of sizing. I have several books now but always seem to find myself going back to this book. Don't know what I would do without it!

I flipped through SO many how-to knitting books and this is the one that came home with me. The photos are amazing as it is often hard to understand line drawings. This book is a must have for beginners as it discusses casting on, the knit stitch, purl stitch, casting off, etc... This book has so much good stuff in it and is organized so well. There are chapters on fixing mistakes like dropped stitches, chapter on simple patterns and projects to get your started -- some are for beginners others are a bit more challenging but that is good because this is a book that you will grow with as your skills get better, has an awesome chapter on different types of patterns you can make once you have mastered the knit-purl stithces in different combinations, chapter on inserting colored patterns, etc.... This is an all around best knitting book to have. The color photos are great, and as a beginner, I found that this book has tons of stuff as well as more challenging information to use as my skills get better.

I saw this book in the bookstore and really liked it. I like that there are TONS of pictures of REAL people's hands. So much easier to understand than sketches or line drawings. A book definitely for beginners or for knitters with experience that want a great reference guide. Also has different knitting techniques to learn as you gain more confidence and skill in your knitting.
