May 08, 2009: I've never dyed my own yarn before, but I wanted to try it out. This book makes it so easy! I especially like the fact that it's spiral-bound, so it lays flat when you're working - I don't have to weigh it down or otherwise crush the book just to keep it to the page I want. The lessons are written step by step, so it's almost like you have a teacher right there beside you. One of my friends has done a lot of silk dyeing, but she loves this book, too, because it goes into so many different techniques (from beginner to expert) that she can use on both silk and yarn.
