July 23, 2009: This is a great reference for beginning Tarot readers as well as more experienced readers. This is well-organized and clearly written, and put together in a logical and meaningful way. If you are just starting out, this book is a great guide for familiarizing yourself with any deck and essential spreads. Excellent definitions and pictures to guide intermediate and advanced readers, too.

February 23, 2009: If you are interested in looking into Tarot but you don't know where to start, then this book is for you! Perfect for beginners, it provides detailed explanations for both the major and minor arcana. It also provides a brief history as well as a number of spreads to choose from that double as a guide to creating your own. The deck used is Universal-Waite, but the author recommends searching for a deck that best suits you.
