More Reviews and RecommendationsLewis Sperry Chafer (1871-1952), American Presbyterian clergyman and educator, was born in Rock Creek, Ohio; studied at New Lyme Academy and Oberlin Conservatory and College, both in Ohio; studied under C. I. Scoffield; and was ordained in 1900. In 1924, he founded the Evangelical Theological College (now Dallas Theological Seminary) and was its president and professor of systematic theology until his death. His many other works include Satan, True Evangelism, Grace, Major Bible Themes, and the eight-volume Systematic Theology.

November 14, 2002: Very well written for all serious students of the bible. This work very well defines Dispensational Theology on every aspect and needs to be used more in Bible Institutes. Most Non- Dispensational groups attack Dispensationalism have no idea on what we teach and believe and need get this to show this System defined and taught by Dr. Chafer. They will see that Dispensational Theology does have Reformed aspects set in it and will see we have more in common than what they think.

January 09, 2001: This minister was way ahead of his time. He struck the biblical balance between Calvinism and Arminianism better than most ever will.Excellently developed the doctrine of the Body of Christ and how it goes to work in our everyday lives. This theology is what my denomoination fully believes in, i.e. Greater Grace World Outreach, Balt., MD
