      Synopsis

Summer break is supposed to be a wonderful time full of great memories. So why is Layla's becoming such a nightmare? Everything starts with the discovery that her lifelong enemy, Sean Patrick, will be working for her father all summer. Problem after problem arises. Things couldn't possibly get worse. Until one Wednesday morning she takes a tumble down the stairs, fracturing her arm. The doctors are positive it was something more than bad vision that caused her to miss her step. Will Sean take the first step and seek to mend their relationship? Will Layla be able to forgive him of all past sins and allow him to shine a light of hope into her nightmare? In a story of hope in shaky circumstances, Layla and Sean must turn to Someone who's always in control.

May 31, 2008: The book is about a young girl in high school at the beginning of summer break who ends up facing several challenges during a time when she should be having fun. Even though the main characters are young adults I believe even older people will enjoy this book. The story held my attention and it was a great read. It felt like the people in the book were my friends, or someone I knew. I didn't want to put it down.
