I have been suffering from depression and thinking about suicide. The book accomplished its goal by giving me time to think of my situation and opening my eyes to other issues I did not think about. A must read for anyone who is even thinking of taking their own life.

i've never felt like i could relate to books about suicide. i always felt like an atypical case, the girl with the good life who should feel wonderfully. people in books about suicide have usually been abused, or experienced some kind of trauma, etc. this book related to me. that in itself was wonderful. in addition, it is an incredibly frank, helpful book. i'd definitely recommend it.

It was the best book I have read. In march of 1999 I was locked up for suicidal attemps, well when I was looking at psychology books I found this one, I took it and I have been reading it all day realizing that if I looked sooner I could have saved myself a trip. I would just like to say thanks for a helping hand. Matt Landry Nashua nh
