Then Jerome is kidnapped, and all immortals under his control mysteriously lose their powers. One bright spot: with her life-sucking ability gone, there's nothing to keep Georgina from getting down and dirty with Sethnothing apart from his girlfriend that is. October 26, 2009: The quality of Richelle Mead's work seems to be slipping a bit, however the writing style itself was still very readable.
The characters, though... If you ever liked Seth or Georgina, you're likely to be saying goodbye to that. Mead sets up a character you're supposed to dislike, makes him likable, but then, completely out of left field... Well, you'll see.The characters who are supposed to be sympathetic have quickly become less so. This is not one of my favorite books, but if you have some spare time with nothing to read at all, this would not be a horrifying option.Reader Rating:
