Synopsis

Beneath the ice at the bottom of the Earth is a magnificent subterranean labyrinth, a place of breathtaking wonders—and terrors beyond imagining. A team of specialists led by archaeologist Ashley Carter has been hand-picked to explore this secret place and to uncover the riches it holds. But they are not the first to venture here—and those they follow did not return. There are mysteries here older than time, and revelations that could change the world. But there are also things that should not be disturbed—and a devastating truth that could doom Ashley and the expedition: they are not alone.

New York Times</I> bestselling author Charles Pellegrino

A gripping deep Earth adventure.

November 03, 2008: Lost civilizations and scientific finds 2 miles below the earths surface. Wow! Incredible. Rollins takes his readers on a roller coaster ride. Hard to find a place to put this book down. Subterranean is well written and very intriguing. Rollins stretches the boundaries of reality, but that is part of what makes his books so hard to put down.

I Also Recommend: Amazonia, Ice Hunt, The Judas Strain, Excavation.

Bit unbelievableby Anonymous

August 15, 2008: I did feel that the characters were a bit unbelievable and the whole subterranean thing all a bit odd. I am a fan and appreciate the writers indepth portrayal but all the 'cave' and cavern stuff just seemed so unbelievable...journey to the center of the earth stuff..perhaps it would make a better movie than a book.
