DO YOU DO WHAT YOU DO BEST EVERY DAY?
Chances are, you don’t. From the cradle to the cubicle, we devote more time to fixing our shortcomings than to developing our strengths.
To help people uncover their talents, Gallup introduced StrengthsFinder in the 2001 management book Now, Discover Your Strengths. The book ignited a global conversation, while StrengthsFinder helped millions discover their top five talents.
In StrengthsFinder 2.0, Gallup unveils the new and improved version of its popular online assessment. With hundreds of strategies for applying your strengths, StrengthsFinder 2.0 will change the way you look at yourself—and the world—forever.

November 11, 2009: I've been using this book for the last 2 years to help me develop my employees. The individual's results help me understand their strenghts and it has definitely enhanced our communication. It also helps me with assigning tasks and projects to the "right" people. The results have been impressive... highly recommended if you are looking for a tool to help you understand your strenghts and those around you.
I Also Recommend: Outliers.

October 10, 2009: I had to read this short book for a graduate class. The five themes the examination came up for me was pretty straight on. The examination demonstrates your talents and strengths, not faults or weaknesses. It tells you what your good at. If your having trouble figuring out why you aren't succeeding at work, this book might tell you why. Good for young people too to help find direction in their life. Just because you want to be a rocket scientist or a nurse doesn't mean you will be good at it. Buy the book, take the examination, and figure out what you really succeed at.
