After seeing Joan Pagano's book, 'Strength Training for Women', no need to look further! First of all, it is beautifully illustratd and formatted - no better inspiration to start an exercise program. Ms.Pagano has carefully selected the best in cutting edge exercises for all levels of capability. They can be conviently performed at home with a few props, and the illustrations guide you where to focus and where to 'feel it'. The author's credentials are impressive, allowing her, with her clinical experience, to offer side bar tips and FYI's that are standard of the industry. A big thumb's up for Joan Pagano and 'Strength Training for Women'.

March 10, 2005: I am a 21 year old college student, and love Joan's book. I have been looking at health and fitness books since I was a young teen. Not many women's training books include young teens, but this book has helpful suggestions for age 15 and up. Also depending on what your goal is, the book has different suggestions. For example, with the free weights, there is a suggested amount if you want to tone muscle or build bone mass. It's a great book that is easy to read. It also has things that you can do at the gym and at home. I highly recommend this book for women of all ages!
