When three guinea pigs from the local pet shop make a great escape, Stink Moody and his friends Webster and Sophie spring into action. Ta-da! The Fantastic Fur Friends round up the little hairballs and bring them safely back to Mrs. Birdwistle's shop, where they discover -- oohla- la! -- guinea pig pandemonium! Time for the Great Guinea Pig Giveaway! Stink and company hit the road aboard the Squeals on Wheels Express in a crazy quest to fi nd good homes for 101 squealing, whistling, chirping, wiggly piggies. FUR-eaky! Spotlight editions are printed on high-quality paper and with reinforced library bindings specifically printed for the library market. Grades K-4. In Stink's solo adventures, his special style comes through loud and strong! His tales are enhanced by a series of comic strips, drawn by Stink himself, which are sprinkled throughout the book. In honor of Judy Moody's younger "bother," the creators of the award-winning series have put themselves in a very Stink-y mood-proving, once and for all, that you're only as short as you feel.
In Stink's latest adventure, he and his friends, Webster and Sophie, find three guinea pigs hiding in their school project. When they return the guinea pigs to the pet store they find that dozens of guinea pigs have escaped from their cages after they were rescued by the pet store owner from a lab. Stink and his friends quickly volunteer to help her find homes for all of the guinea pigs and embark on a series of adventures that causes more problems than they solve. When their plan to hold an adoption fair to find homes for the guinea pigs results in the return of most of the guinea pigs, Webster, Sophie, and Stink set off on a trek with the pet store owner to a guinea pig sanctuary half a state away. Eventually all of the guinea pigs find a good home and Stink gets a new pet. Illustrations intersperse the chapters, and the end of each chapter is accompanied by a crudely drawn comic strip that offers fascinating and funny information about guinea pigs.
