    October 22, 2001: I consider myself a Star Wars supercollector, and like many others held out on this book simply based on the price issue. I finally broke down and purchased this fine book and can only recommend that other avid Star Wars collectors do the same. Yes, the book isn't bound in reference book fashion. Yes, this book doesn't have the most insightful commentary (3 out of 5 stars, not bad really). Forget the few shortcomings - the detailed oversized photographs more than make up for any other issues. What are you waiting for?! I own virtually every other Star Wars reference book and this one blows them all away.

    June 25, 2000: This gorgeous coffee table quality book is an absolute MUST for any Star Wars Fan. Not only is itan essential guide to teh entire SW universe up until 1996, but it also includes outakes and concepts that never made it into the trilogy. I only find fault in that it is bound cheaply. A book of this caliber should have been better made...but otherwise excellent and well worth what it will cost to re-bind it!!!
