      Synopsis

An all-time favorite, Silly Sally comes to life for toddlers in this lap-sized board book.

      Annotation

A rhyming story of Silly Sally, who is joined by various animals as she travels to town--backwards and upside down.

      Children's Literature

In yet another adaptation to board book format, Wood's amusing story works quite well. Toddlers and others will chuckle at the heroine with her springy red hair, purple dress, and ruffled pantaloons walking backwards and upside down into town. It makes no sense and the situation is absurd, but the lively characters and funny pictures will bring lots of smiles. 1999 (orig.

February 06, 2003: I truly enjoy this book, and find it very fun and amusing. My preschools kids want to hear it over and over again. We now sing it almost daily, and I have made hats to go along with the characters in the book. I recommend this book to everyone.
