June 16, 2006: I picked up this book not dreaming what I would find here. It gripped me from the first page. First of all, it gives an overview of what it is like to lose a brother, in my case, or sister. I kept thinking, 'that's how it was for me!' This is the first time I realized that someone else knew about this. I have been carrying around a lot of guilt for many years, and this little book has shown me a way to let go and move on.

May 29, 2006: I wish I could have read this book many years ago. The author has combined research, clinical work, and the experience of the organization called The Sibling Connection, to create a book for all of us. At last someone understands what we need and how to help. The book flows between straight facts to poetry and legends from other cultures. I particularly liked the chapter on creativity and how creativity comforts you after a death. The end of the book is a section on bibliotherapy with questions to answer. Thank you, Dr. White!
