I just finished reading this book. I absolutely loved it and plan on re-reading it. The author writes in a way that doesn't sound like many others that tell you what a failure you are. I would reccomend this book to any mother. It is a wonderful Christian book without overdoing it!

Wow, was this book a disappointment. While there is some good stuff here (I appreicate how candid the author is about her own eruptions, etc...), this book makes the assumption that all readers are fervent Christians. It is fine if that is the author's orientation, but when sentences are prefaced by "My dear sisters in Christ..." and the so-called real advice consists of things like "read your scriptures"......

Thanks for reassuring me that there isn't a mother alive who hasn't regretted what she has said or done once in a while. This book addresses many of my own angry thoughts and screaming tirades when I'm just about at my wits' end with my 3 yeat old twins--(whom I truly love with all my heart). I don't discuss my feelings of guilt and failure as a perfect mother with anyone. The author's style is honest...
