Synopsis

A slumlord in Minneapolis. A New York politician. An Oklahoma judge.

Three strangers with one thing in common: each has been butchered with a Native American ceremonial knife by a killer known as Shadow Love. Lucas Davenport and Officer Lily Rothenburg needn't look far for the killer. He's right behind them.

Boston Globe

Powerfully suspenseful and psychologically convincing.

Focus more on Native American Issues!by rnoncology

October 05, 2009: I have read every John Sandford Prey novel, Virgil Flowers novel and Dead Watch and I absolutely love all his books - but this book is special to me. I grew up in Northern Minnesota by the Leech and Red Lake Indian Reservations and this book really felt authentic. I REALLY wish annother Prey novel could focus on Native American issues. Great book!

I Also Recommend: Blue Heaven, Below Zero, Extreme Measures (Mitch Rapp Series #9), Act of Treason.

March 25, 2009: The 2nd tale in the Prey series is as strong as the first. Sandford has the ability to thrill you and creep you out in the same paragraph. Its exciting stuff. Once again, a little too much machismo displayed in the lead character but a really solid follow up novel.
