    Skip This Study Bibleby TedMichaelMorgan

    Reader Rating:

July 04, 2009: I dislike this study Bible. It is less a study Bible than an instruction manual for conventional morality. Conventional morality is not necessarily bad. What the commentators in this book do is simply define rules without much inquiry into bases for those rules. The book seemed designed for use in Sunday school for teenagers or youth group study. The commentary overwhelms free reading and critical study of scripture. There is not much theology or doctrine in this study Bible. The commentary does not nurture creative involvement with scripture.

GREAT STUDY BIBLE FOR SMALL GROUPSby Anonymous

January 17, 2009: I have been using this study bible to assist with small group bible studies since it was first published in the mid-90's. I have own several copies because I use it so much and the pages start to wear. It is a great support to help you and a group learn more about Jesus. I recommend you have this bible in your library if you ever lead bible studies.
