February 09, 2009: I originally bought this book as a gift. After browsing through it with my friend, I ended up buying one for myself too. The recipes use some pre-made ingredients to put together larger recipes that taste great. All of which are made in a slow-cooker. So the prep time is minimal and the cooking is hands-off. It's perfect for the busy person that's tired of just throwing something in the microwave and wants to add a little pizazz.

Recipes Great, cook times not so great.by Anonymous

January 18, 2009: I purchased this book looking for some different recipes than the same old thing I usually make in my slow cooker.
I found the recipes wonderful, I also loved the fact that the recipes had photos. However, I use my slow cooker so I can put things in it in the morning before I go to work and it will be done when I get home. A great majority of the recipes call for a 3-4 hours cook time or cook this part for 1 hour then add rest and cook 3-4 hours. For my needs this just doesn't work. If you are looking for the 8-10 hour cook times this book is not for you.
