February 14, 2001: These two volumes have been written to help the weary wanderer find a foothold in the darkness. The Secret Doctrine expounds the esoteric frameworks behind modern religions, and provides us with a way to understand our spirituality--regardless of our religion--in a new light. Helena Blavatsky provides a glimpse of the ancient philosophy which is still accessible to any seeker who is willing to engage in that search. Be warned, however, the sheer magnitude of the work is staggering, and thousands of cross-references make it anything but a quick read. But anybody who is willing to follow it to the end will find it to be the best reference book a soul could find.
