The ebook is NOT a pdf. It's an encrypted pdb file that can only be opened with Nook. When you open the ebook it's just imperfect text floating around the images of the page you're on. The print book is thoughtfully laid out and is much more readable and therefore understandable. I was hoping for just a pdf like a Manning press ebook that is just pictures of each page, in color. Not so.

I downloaded this to all three devices and all the illustrations are grainy and unreadable using Nook as the eReader!!! It would be fine if they were just pictures but the illustrations have programming codes that you'll need to follow and understand. Called B&N technical support and they confirmed that some ebooks have grainy illustrations for these devices depending on how the publisher processed...

This book doesn't get as in-depth as some of the other books out there, but it does a great job of covering all the basics and giving you a great guideline to get started on just about any project (graphics and 3d games excluded) and how to use all the tools and UI features the iPhone SDK has to offer. Im hoping that once the iPad comes out, there'll be a book to go along with it as well. I'd recommend...
