October 30, 2007: Overall this was an interesting read despite the fact that it was rather boring throughout. The author ephasizes how elements within the CIA activley work against the Bush administration for various reasons. He discusses how partisan politics, washington power strugles, personal agendas and territorial/ agency infighting is endangering our security. He discusses how the Clinton cutbacks has left the CIA with a staff of undertrained and inexperienced analystists and officers to be part of the security aparatus that supposedly protects us. So in a nutshell.......okay book, kind of boring, but interesting. He doesn't state that the CIA in whole is working against the President, rather it is staffed by longtime liberals with an axe to grind who ignore their responsibity of being bipartisan and are responsible for the collection and analysis of the majority of foreign intel and are obligated to report to policy makers the facts.
