    Synopsis

It's a jungle in here! Join this rhyming safari and meet everyone from the elephing elephant to the gangly giraffe, and maybe even the terrible tiger. Energetic verses and brilliant artwork make this exuberant introduction to a host of wild animals pounce to life.

    Annotation

A poetic exploration of the hippos, leopards, chimpanzees, and other animals found in the jungle.

    Children's Literature

There's nothing tame about this book of verse featuring thirteen of your favorite jungle animals. Bold colors and oversized drawings add excitement to the humorous text, which describes the antics of lions, zebras, gorillas, elephants, and so on. The rhyming text makes it perfect for reading aloud.

November 24, 2008: Brilliant, cartoony art introduces kids to a variety of jungle animals and the prose has a rhythm that reflects the "Rumble" of the jungle.

July 15, 2005: When my son was only a few months old we took him to the bookstore and showed him books. He was instantly attached to this book. He is now 15 months old and still loves this story. He likes to read it by himself and he loves when Mommy & Daddy read it to him. This is his favorite! I am actually looking at bn.com to see if there is a boardbook version because our paperbook is getting bent up from his love for it. :)
