March 02, 2009: It was a good book but like anything else that is an instruction manual it doesn't mean much unless you are actually doing it. I think a video would be much better but the best is an actual class. You can't learn to rock climb from a book but you can learn the terminology etc..

December 17, 2006: This is the best instructional rock climbing book of those currently available. It is full of information both practical and lifesaving, and it is an essential read for both novices and experienced rock climbers. I highly recommend it.
