Fire alone can save our clan...
Fireheart's traitorous enemy Tigerclaw has been vanquished and exiled from ThunderClan—but Fireheart can't shake the feeling that he's lurking out there in the forest, waiting for the chance to strike.
That's not the only problem facing the young ThunderClan deputy in these blazing summer months, as he struggles to handle ominous omens, a disrespectful apprentice with a shocking secret, and a devastated Clan leader who is a shell of her former self.
Meanwhile the forest gets hotter and hotter . . . and everyone braces for the coming storm. . . .
Fireheart, the warrior cat, faces many challenges in his new role of ThunderClan deputy as his apprentice, Cloudpaw, resists following the warrior code, Bluestar weakens, and Tigerclaw continues to haunt the forest seeking revenge.
Book 4 of the "Warriors" series finds the stalwart cat hero Fireheart with his paws full once more. Will his kittypet nephew Cloudpaw shape up as a Thunderclan apprentice? Will the clan's aging leader Bluestar get her act together or succumb to feline Alzheimer's? What will be the effect of the unusual heat and drought? And most pertinently, is the traitor warrior still Tigerclaw lying in wait? This "created by" a corporation series forges on relentlessly, but because a year or two has passed since its first episode, it is necessary to take into account the prolific nature of feral cats. Already it is becoming a burden to work through the clan genealogies, not to mention the succession of leaders as they drop like flies to warfare and treachery. Where is the Animal Humane Society when you really need it? 2004, HarperCollins, Ages 8 to 12.

March 04, 2009: "His voice barely more than a whisper, he added, 'I love you.' Sandstorm's eyes glowed. 'I love you too, Fireheart.'" My favorite quote ever. And, "'You're still beautiful to me,' he told her. 'You always will be'" This book is, like, my favorite out of the Warriors books. I also like the sixth one. That one is coolio. Oh, and Graystripe does does go to RiverClan. Keep reading though. There's lots of surprises!
I Also Recommend: The Maze of Bones (The 39 Clues Series #1), The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series #1).

September 10, 2008: Here, we meet Fernpaw, Ashpaw, Bramblekit, and of course, lest likely to ever join ShadowClan, Tawnykit. Fernpaw, Longtails shy apprentice with a sweet temper and a pretty coat, is to Dustpelts high liking, Ashpaw is her brother, strong and sturdy, Dustpelts first apprentice, who seems that he can be nothing more than a loyal warrior, and seems nothing like mate material. Little bramblekit, who happens to be the shadow of ThunderClans least wanted cat at the moment, and his wobble legs of a sister, Tawnykit, who is slow to movements though quick in the mind. this book is rather depressing, even I must admit this. Deceiving at some points. A shocking but innocent batrayal that mnakes one young cat prove where his loyalties lie, once and for all. This book has many points that make you want to gasp, includding the death of one of the most international medicine cats this forest has ever seen, and sudden hostillity from an ally who is desperate to prove themselves.
