January 19, 2001: This is what you get when you read Proust's Remembrance of Things Past (In Search of Lost Time). This is the kind of book you won't want to read in a rush. Take a whole afternoon, sit back, relax and enjoy the dense, but beautiful prose. I would take the 3 volumes to a deserted island and be happy. Need I say more?
