Join Dora and her mami as they spend the day together!
Any preschool-age child who is a fan of the TV series on Nick Jr., Dora the Explorer, will certainly enjoy this book. Those not familiar with the program or Dora may still enjoy this book as an excellent reading primer for new readers, as well as a good introduction to Dora. Part of the "Ready-to-Read Dora the Explorer" series, the story is composed of simple sentences and uses word repetition as a helpful tool for young readers who are taking the beginning steps toward being independent readers. In this story, Dora takes the reader on a day spent with her mami, or mother in Spanish. During their day together, Dora and her mami feed the babies, make breakfast, and go to the park. Dora also goes with her mami to work. The bright and colorful illustrations fill the entire page and will help keep readers engaged in the text.

July 29, 2009: My daughter loves Dora to begin with, but this is her favorite of the Dora books she has. The print is very large and the wording is simple so she is able to follow along with me. There is also a lot of repetition of simple words that I believe will help her with reading in the future. She loves to read this and see how Dora and friends spend time with their moms.
