    Synopsis

In this illustrated and easy-to-use guide, noted pediatrician Dr. Alan Greene, a leading voice of the green baby movement, advises parents how to make healthy green choices for pregnancy, childbirth, and baby care—from feeding your baby the best food available to using medicines wisely. Consumer advocate Jeanette Pavini includes information for making smart choices and applying green principles to a whole new universe of products from zero-VOC paints for the nursery, to pure and gentle lotions for baby’s delicate skin, to the eco-friendly diapers now in the marketplace, as well as specific recommendations for hundreds of other products.

August 31, 2009: Now that we are expecting our first born, we're even more aware of the impact little things can have on us and certainly on our unborn child. This book is a great starting reference point for making the gradual move over to a totally green lifestyle. Dr. Greene acknowledges in the text that being able to do everything suggested is probably unlikely, so he gives plenty of solid information to work from - allowing you to do exactly as much as you can afford\ are willing to do. Even little changes make a difference longterm.

July 17, 2008: This book is amazing! It is written in a very easy to follow format that is broken down into sections so it is easy to find things again, such as Kitchen, Bathroom, et. It gives fact based information as well as hands on ideas that you can do in your home. It makes it very easy to do small steps to change your lifestyle without turning your life upsidedown. I loved the product reviews and the great website lists in the back.
