May 12, 2007: Part of Rachael's appeal is her personality, which is lacking in this book. I didn't preview the book beforehand. I give a number of parties year ound and thought I'd find some recipes to use, but didn't. I found THE FRANTIC WOMAN'S GUIDE TO FEEDING FAMILY AND FRIENDS a girlfriend guide with quick recipes and tons of personality.

April 10, 2007: I own most of RR cookbooks and everything I make receives rave reviews. I ordered this book on-line without previewing in the store. I was disappointed that there wasn't one recipe I wanted to immediately try. I have dinner parties frequently and have used the Great Gatherings book on many occasions. This book will be placed at the back of my cabinet.
