March 23, 2009: Very easy to follow cookbook - great recipes are easy to prepare. Lots of interesting & healthful recipes. I highly recommend this book!

June 26, 2006: I own numerous vegetarian and non-vegetarian cookbooks, yet find myself turning to this one week after week for general menu planning and really delicious, quick meals (and breads, fabulous desserts, *super* soups, etc.). I therefore cannot recommend this book highly enough! I bought it after browsing through it and also noticing that it had won the James Beard Award for Cookbook of the Year, and both my husband and I have been absolutely thrilled with the investment. BTW, I think this book would be great for both omnivores -- because I don't miss meat at all when I dine on these recipes -- and lacto-ovo vegetarians (noting also that many of the recipes can be made vegan with some substitutions).
